I do what I can, most days, to keep my views on the world to myself. I do everything I can to respect how other people see the world around us, even if that view is different than mine. There are times however that I can’t just sit and ignore things. I’m at a loss for words when I think of what Pat Robertson and Rush Limbaugh thought and said about the tragedy in Haiti. I had a hard time believing that people in general could think that way. I was utterly speechless…thankfully a webcartoonist I follow put it into words.

Of course this was just an angry outburst over the unspeakable comments made by Pat and Rush and isn’t to be taken seriously. That obviously didn’t stop my mind from playing with the idea. I know…I’m a sick individual, but thankfully not as sick as Pat and Rush.
I’m also aware that Pat Robertson is helping in Haiti, and thats great. It still is a fucked up thing to say what he did.
But seriously…

I can understand the animosity at Robertson, he’s an idiot. But why object to Rush? All he said was that if you’re going to give to Haitian relief efforts, do it via avenues other than the Federal government. He never said “don’t give”.
Instead of coming together to help Haiti, he uses it as just another tool against Democrats. Implying that Obama is just using the incident to boost his credibility, and not actually being charitable. Seems kinda messed up.
just my opinion though.
Fact check: Obama wasn’t telling anyone to give “through” the government; the government isn’t even running its own donation-based relief fund. They had set up a convenient hub on whitehouse.gov and he was telling people to go there. And Rush was agreeing with a conspiracy nut who believed Obama was planning to straight-up steal people’s donation money.
The sad thing is, I think Michael Bay would do it if they let him.
That’s awesome! That would be about the only thing that could get me to watch Transformers 3.
